Team 6 Alpha Yohimbine is a dietary supplement you can only buy online. It’s part of a small range of supplements manufactured for Team Six Supplements. The company appears to be based in the state of Georgia and mainly distributes its products via Amazon.
Although the company has an official website, the site’s only purpose appears to be to shuttle potential customers to Amazon.
The site provides only minimal product information and has no information about the company at all. Nor does it provide any contact options.
Although Amazon is there to act as a middle man, we are not impressed by companies that operate in this way.
We only say the company appears to be based in Georgia because its product labeling tells us this is so. However, Team 6 does not appear to be known to the Better Business Bureau and we were unable to find any details of US company registered under this name.
However, it is possible that Team 6 may be a trading name used by an official company. Usually, the terms and conditions page or privacy policy on company websites can shed light on company ownership but the Team 6 website does not provide either page, even though the law requires website owners to provide both.
Nor is it clear where Team 6 supplements are made. This is a source of concern too. How Does Team Six Alpha Yohimbine Work?
It’s hard to say how this supplement is meant to work and we get the impression the company behind it doesn’t know either.
The sales page on the Team Six website says “Yohimbine works by increasing adrenaline levels in the body, as well as inhibiting a regulatory process in fat cells.”
As you will see in our ingredient evaluation, Team 6 Alpha Yohimbine does not provide yohimbine, it provides Alpha-yohimbine (Rauwolscine), which is a totally different ingredient.
We were unable to find any research that supports a connection between either ingredient and adrenaline levels in humans. However, we did find a study that suggests Rauwolscine suppresses Adrenalin in cats. The same research says it had some very undesirable consequences for some of the other animals that received it via injection.
We tried very hard to find supportive evidence because we did not want to dismiss this product or its key ingredient out of hand. Unfortunately, after running endless searches in numerous scientific databases, we have had to admit defeat.
Team 6 Alpha Yohimbine Usage Guidelines
The dose is one capsule, taken once or twice per day. Neither dose should be taken within six hours of bedtime because Yohimbine is a stimulant that can interfere with sleep.
A warning on the label makes it clear this supplement is not intended for anyone who is under 18 years of age. It also states not to use Team 6 Alpha Yohimbine for more than eight consecutive weeks. Presumably, it will be safe to continue using the supplement after a suitable break but Team 6 fails to state how long this should be.
More importantly, the label states nobody should use Team 6 Alpha Yohimbine without getting a doctor’s consent first.
It’s a pity the sales information does not point this out too. Although the Team 6 website provides a picture of the back of the bottle, it is so small the text will be difficult for most people to read.

Each capsule provides 2 mg of Rauwolfia vomitoria as an extract that’s standardized to be 90% alpha yohimbine.
There are no other active ingredients. Vegans and vegetarians will be glad to learn the formulation is encapsulated inside a hypromellose casing.
Although it initially appears to be a very simple product, Team 6 Alpha Yohimbine is apt to cause confusion. Many people are likely to believe they are dealing with a supplement that provides Yohimbe. This is not the case.
Yohimbe is a species of tree (Corynanthe johimbe) that grows in Africa. Extracts from the bark provide a compound called yohimbine. Supplement manufacturers use the names Yohimbe and yohimbine interchangeably. Regardless of which name you see, it refers to the same thing. Alpha-yohimbine is a totally different kettle of fish.
Also known as rauwolscine, Alpha yohimbine comes from a smaller species of tree called Rauwolfia vomitoria. It’s also native to Africa, where it is also called poison devil’s pepper.
Yohimbe trees generally grow to be around 30 meters tall. Rauwolfia vomitoria trees tend to have a maximum height of only 8 meters. Due to the differences between the trees and the compounds they provide, it’s unfortunate the names make it so easy to confuse the Yohimbine with alpha-yohimbine.
