What is Nugenix Total-T
Total-T is a supplement for men who want to boost their testosterone. It’s one of several testosterone boosters manufactured and distributed under the Nugenix brand name.
It’s hard to find out anything about Nugenix, but the company appears to be a subsidiary of Adaptive Health LLC, which is based in North Carolina. However, Nugenix operates out of a headquarters in Utah.
Many men suffer from low testosterone (also called low-T), so T boosting supplements are very popular. Some men buy them to improve muscle growth and/or performance in sports.
Others use them to revitalize their sex lives. They are also attractive to men who want to reclaim feelings of youth because, when testosterone levels decline, it can make you feel old and lethargic.
Nugenix Total-T has no marketing bias. It’s aimed at all men who want to increase their testosterone. Especially ones who are over 40-years of age.
After the age of 30, testosterone levels generally drop by around 1% per year, so many 40-year-old men have low testosterone. But a lot of younger men do too. Nugenix is making a marketing mistake by placing so much focus on age.
By the time you have finished reading this review, you will know what ingredients are in Total-T testosterone booster and the benefits they may provide.
You will also know other important facts about the product, such as the best place to buy Nugenix Total-T and what men are saying about the product via customer reviews. Armed with this information, it will be easier to decide if Total-T is likely to be the best fit for your needs.
Nugenix Total-T Benefits
Men who choose Nugenix Total-T are told to expect several benefits after they begin using the product.
The main promised benefits are:
- Boosts Free and Total Testosterone
- Increases Lean Muscle Mass

How Does Nugenix Total T Work?
One of the most surprising things about this product is the lack of information about how it’s designed to work. Nugenix makes a lot of big promises but does not reveal how the results will be achieved.
However, products that aim to boost testosterone generally stimulate changes in the body that encourage it to begin producing extra testosterone. That’s obvious, I know, but it’s only half the story.
Increasing “circulating testosterone” is not enough. Testosterone can bind with sex hormone-binding globulin (SHBG). When testosterone binds with SHBG, it cannot bind with other receptors. That means the body cannot use it. Increasing “free testosterone” has more importance.
Most good testosterone boosters provide ingredients that stop too much testosterone from binding with SHBG. Unfortunately, Nugenix Total-T does not. [source]
What’s the Best Way to Use Nugenix Total-T?
The dose is three capsules per day. You take all three capsules in a single sitting and you can take them with or without food.
Nugenix says it doesn’t matter what time you take the capsules. That should make Total-T very easy to fit into your daily routine but it makes sense to pick a time and stick to it every day. You won’t need to rely on your memory if you develop a habit.
However, Nugenix Total-T won’t be a good option for some men. The capsules are made from gelatin. That makes them unsuitable for vegans and vegetarians.
Nor are they suitable for guys who are under 18-years of age. If you have existing health issues or would need to use Total-T’s formula alongside medication, that could be a problem too. Before commencing supplementation, it will be necessary to seek expert medical advice.
Ingredient Profile – What’s in it?
Three capsules per day will provide:
- Vitamin B6 (2mg)
- Vitamin B12 (2.4 mcg)
- Zinc (1 mg)
- L-Citrulline Malate (1125 mg)
- Fenugreek Extract (600 mg)
- elevATP (150 mg)
- Eurycoma Longifolia Root Extract (100 mg)
- Boron (10 mg)
What Do the Ingredients Do?
Vitamin B6 (2mg)
We’re off to a good start because Vitamin B6 plays a vital role in testosterone production. Two milligrams is slightly higher than the recommended daily intake so men using Nugenixs Test Booster need not worry about their testosterone levels being reduced by Vitamin B6 deficiency.
Vitamin B6 also supports vitality because it helps the body get energy from food.
Vitamin B12 (2.4 mcg)
Like Vitamin B6, Vitamin B12 aids energy metabolism. Both vitamins are present in most brands of energy drink. Vitamin B12 also plays a key role in red blood cell production. Although it may not directly influence testosterone, it’s still a good ingredient to have.
Zinc (1 mg)
Nugenix provides zinc as a chelate. That’s good because this is the form the body finds easiest to absorb. Zinc is great for immune system.
Zinc is an important mineral. As well as playing a key role in testosterone production, it also supports immune function and wound healing. (https://www.healthline.com/health/testosterone-and-zinc)
L-Citrulline Malate (1125 mg)
L-Citrulline Malate is an amino acid that’s sometimes used as a treatment for mild to moderate ED (erectile dysfunction). However, although it’s often used as a testosterone booster there’s a lack of proof that it can work in this way.
So, although Nugenix Total-T provides a hefty dose, it probably doesn’t offer much value to the blend.
Fenugreek Extract (600 mg)
Fenugreek is a popular testosterone-boosting herb. It works by stimulating the pituitary gland, causing it to release luteinizing hormone.
Luteinizing hormone acts on the testes encouraging them to increase testosterone and sperm production. Research suggests 600 mg per day is an effective dose. (https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC6191980/)
elevATP (150 mg)
elevATPis a proprietary blend that provides a combination of peat and apple extracts. If you think peat is a strange inclusion, you are not alone but it’s apparently been added to provide trace minerals.
elevATP is not a testosterone booster. It’s designed to improve athletic performance. (https://www.futureceuticals.com/elevatp)
Eurycoma Longifolia Root Extract (100 mg)
Also known as longjack, Eurycoma longifolia is a plant native to Borneo. Research suggests 200 mg per day can boost testosterone but Nugenix Total-T provides half this amount. It may not be enough. (https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/21671978/)
Boron (10 mg)
Boron appears to increase levels of free testosterone and research suggests 10 mg per day is an effective dose. (https://www.healthline.com/health/boron-testosterone)
Are There Any Nugenix Total-T Customer Reviews?
At first blush, customer reviews for this product appear to be predominantly good. However, a lot of reviews come from women. What’s going on here? This is a product for men.
There are also lots of people leaving 5-star reviews based on their first impression, not what the product can do. Some people even award four or five stars after stating the product let them down and reviews that state “good” or “worth the money” instead of mentioning results have an unlikely prominence.
Here are few sample reviews:
Positive Customer Reviews and Comments
I started using Nugenix Total-T testosterone boosting supplement to stop the effects of aging, increase my libido, and get back in shape. I love it! It has helped me live a healthier life with more energy and strength than ever before. I had never felt this good at age 45. My girlfriend loves it too because it makes me want her more often making us both happy.”
Karl H, Dallas, USA
I was hesitant to buy this product when I saw that it had a 4.3 star rating on Amazon. The reviews seemed too good to be true, and I wondered if they were fake or not. But one day my low sex drive really started bothering me, so I decided to give it a try. My first impression of the supplement was not great – but surprisingly, after about 10 days I noticed that my libido picked up noticeably and my erections improved! It’s now been about 3 months since I started taking Nugenix Total-T testosterone boosting supplement and overall I’m very happy with how things have gone: more energy during workouts

Negative Customer Reviews and Comments
I had been looking for a way to boost my testosterone levels and found Nugenix Total-T, which claimed it would give me the boost I was looking for. After a few months of taking the supplements, there was no change in my energy or sex drive. I took them religiously every day as directed but saw no difference. Eventually I stopped taking them altogether.
Mal V, Atlanta, USA
I was hesitant to try the Nugenix Total-T testosterone boosting supplement. I didn’t have any problems with my t levels, but I wanted what felt like a safe place to start. It seemed too good to be true and it looked like something that might give me a libido boost. To tell you the truth, when I first started taking it, everything seemed great! But after a few weeks of taking it religiously everyday with no changes in how my body felt or looked, I decided to look up reviews online and see if others were experiencing these same issues. A lot of the reviews are mixed”
JJ, New Orleans, USA
Any Side Effects?
A few customers report minor side effects, such as headache, bloating, and stomach issues. However, such reports are few and far between.
Purchasing Options and Considerations
Nugenix products are available via several online stores including Lucky Vitamin and Vitamin World. You can also buy them via Amazon. Alternatively, you may be able to pick up a bottle of Total-T at your local GNC store.
Buying directly from the manufacturer’s website can be tricky. The site encourages visitors to take up the offer of a free bottle of Nugenix Total-T on trial.
A free bottle! Sounds good, doesn’t it? Don’t start dancing for joy just yet.
As is often the case with this type of offer, you will need to make a small payment to cover the postal charges. It’s only $4.99 but when you accept the offer of a free trial bottle, you are also agreeing to an autoship agreement.
If you don’t cancel the agreement within 18 days, Nugenix will bill your card for a fresh shipment of pills. This will cost $69.99 plus additional charges for shipping and tax. After that, you will remain in a monthly automated billing and shipping cycle until you cry stop.
The Nugenix website does not make this clear. Unless you take the time to examine the site’s terms and conditions page it’s very easy to be caught out.
Want my advice? If you really want to try this product, buy it from a third-party supplier. Depending on which one you choose, you will only pay around $52 – $65 for a 30-day supply of pills and you won’t need to have any concerns about autoship.
Is There a Guarantee?
An emblem on the Nugenix website states the company offers a 30-day money-back guarantee. The terms of the guarantee are a little confusing but the offer seems to be genuine.
Nugenix Total-T’s Reviews Conclusion
Total-T’s compound provides several credible testosterone-boosting ingredients. However, it contains some dead weight as well.
Although elevATP may help improve performance in the bedroom or while training in the gym, it’s a poor fit for a formulation such as this.
The formulation could be greatly improved if elevATP were replaced with a good testosterone booster such as Vitamin D. Vitamin D is great for all round health.
In the case of Eurycoma longifolia, the inclusion rate is also an issue. Nugenix Total-T would likely perform better if the ingredient was included at double the present dose.
It seems likely that men who use Nugenix Total-T may experience some degree of benefit but the product does not compare well with some of the alternative options.
The best testosterone boosters generally provide ingredients that prevent testosterone from binding with SHBG. Nugenix Total-T does not. That may explain why some people report such poor results.
