What is Nugenix Thermo?
Nugenix Thermo is a thermogenic fat-burner distributed by Adaptive Health.
They are responsible for Nugenix Total T – a best selling testosterone boosting supplement
The company is based in North Carolina and is also responsible for distributing a diverse range of additional health and wellness supplements.
Nugenix appears to be the company’s only brand.
Adaptive Health says Nugenix Thermo as an “extreme metabolic accelerator”.
That’s an impressive title but it’s just a fancy way of saying it boosts metabolism.
Much of that boost comes courtesy of caffeine so Nugenix Thermo could be a little too extreme for the average person looking for a fat burner to help them lose weight.
Adaptive Health also states its extreme fat burner is backed by eight studies that support the abilities of the key ingredients. It does not provide links to support this claim.
Several of the ingredients do have proven abilities though.
So that much is true.
However, it’s the ingredients that are proven, not this formulation and, by the company’s own admission, only four of them are included in a “clinically validated dose”.
What Does Nugenix Thermo Do?
- Increases thermogenesis
- Reduces body fat
- Improves lean body mass
How Does Nugenix Thermo Work?
As the name suggests, Nugenix Thermo is primarily a thermogenic fat burner.
Diet pills and other supplements that work in this way make your body a little warmer and may even cause you to work up a sweat.
Thermogenesis is normal for warm-blooded mammals.
It happens 24 hours a day. It’s what makes your skin warm to the touch.
Heat is a form of energy so, when you warm up you also push up the amount of calories you lose throughout the day.
If your diet is right, your body will already be short of calories and burning its fat. Losing extra calories as heat will cause you to burn more.
Nugenix Thermo also boosts metabolism.
All fat burners do. One of the things human metabolism does is govern the way you use calories. When metabolism becomes faster you start using more.
Again, this will only increase the need to burn extra fat.
Although it’s not a claim made on the bottle, the Nugenix Thermo marketing material sometimes says the pills control hunger.
It all depends on which site you visit and which description you read.
The formulation contains cayenne, which can help in this way, but looking at the formulation as a whole, it’s not going to offer a lot of anti-hunger support.
Nugenix Thermo Usage Guidelines
The dose is two capsules per day. You take both of them together first thing each morning.
The usage guidelines say you can take the capsules with food or without it.
They also say it’s best to take them with food if you find they upset your stomach.

The Potential Benefits the Ingredients May Provide
Vitamin C – Vitamin C may seem like a weird inclusion for a fat burning pill and, in some ways, it is.
However, the results of one study show people who exercise while Vitamin C deficient burn 30% less calories than people who exercise when their levels of Vitamin C are fully topped-up.
Niacin – Also known as Vitamin B3, niacin is an important nutrient that serves multiple roles within the body.
Among other things, it assists red blood cell production and supports normal energy metabolism.
Another thing niacin does is increase vasodilation.
In so doing, it improves circulation.
This allows the muscles and major organs to get extra nutrients and oxygen.
Sicilian Red Orange Extract – This is not a popular ingredient. It comes from blood oranges. Nugenix Thermo contains a branded version called Morosil. The company that distributes Morosil has done research that suggests it may help with fat burning.
Caffeine Anhydrous – This is basically a concentrated caffeine powder. It’s very powerful and gets to work fast.
Caffeine is the most socially-accepted stimulant in the world. Many people use it to fight fatigue and boost energy.
Diet pill manufacturers use it for another reason as well. Research shows caffeine supports increases in fat burning by boosting metabolism and thermogenesis.
Cayenne Extract – Cayenne is a red pepper that provides compounds that can suppress hunger.
However, although research shows it’s a hunger suppressant that works, cayenne generally gets more attention for its astounding prowess both as a metabolism booster and a thermogenic fat-burner. It is associated with Capsimax and capsicum.
Coleus Forskohlii Root Extract – Coleus forskohlii is probably in this formulation because it has the reputation of being capable of helping you to burn fat without losing muscle.
There is scientific evidence that shows it may do this but not all research is wholly supportive.
Green Coffee Bean Extract – Green coffee beans contain chlorogenic acid.
Some research suggests it can help balance blood glucose and insulin levels.
This may make it useful for preventing blood sugar levels from crashing, resulting in a desire for sweet food.
Green coffee is a great ingredient for weight loss in Nugenix Thermo.
Whole Coffee Fruit – This isn’t an ingredient you normally see in diet pills. Its only value will be as a source of caffeine and this formulation already has enough.
Each dose of Nugenix Thermo provides 50 mg of whole coffee fruit and Adaptive Health admits the form it’s using is 70% caffeine. That means it’s adding an extra 35 mg of caffeine to the formulation.
More Caffeine!
Guarana Extract – Would you believe it? More caffeine! Guarana is a tropical berry that dribbles caffeine into the body instead of delivering it all at once. This extract is 20% caffeine so it adds a further 10 mg to the mix.
Ginger Extract – Ginger may offer value as a weight loss aid but it’s not an ingredient that packs a lot of fat-busting power.
However, it has anti-inflammatory capabilities, improves digestion, and offers numerous other benefits to boot.
Green Tea Extract – Green tea contains a tiny bit of caffeine but the amount this extract provides is not enough to worry about.
This is a good ingredient.
It’s great to see it in Nugenix Thermo because there’s a mountain of research shows green tea is a natural fat burner that works and it’s incredibly good for the health. It is also a highly effective anti oxidant.
L-Carnitine L-Tartrate – This ingredient provides the amino acid L-carnitine.
The manufacturers of sports supplements often use it because it can turn up your energy levels and help you get more done.
Chromium – As with green coffee bean extract, chromium is good for balancing insulin and blood sugar.
What Customers Say About Nugenix Thermo
There is a lack of customer feedback for this product. Possibly because it’s one of the newer additions to the Nugenix range.
Nugenix Thermo Side Effects
Two Nugenix Thermo capsules contain a similar amount of caffeine to a couple of cups of coffee.
If you are used to hitting caffeine hard, you should be okay with that. If you are not you may be the one who’s getting hit.
Caffeine side effects include headaches, nausea, and a racing heart.
Nugenix Thermo also contains coleus forskohlii. Experts agree the ingredient needs more study.
Some of the side effects it may cause are similar to the ones associated with high doses of caffeine so the pairing is a little worrying.
Do yourself a favor, and have a chat with your doctor before deciding to add Nugenix Thermo to your weight management routine.
Where to Buy Nugenix Thermo
Although it’s easy to find a supplier if you live in the US, if you live elsewhere it is not.
Adaptive Health does not offer international shipping from its site.
Nugenix Thermo is also available via Adaptive Health’s chosen marketing partners, including GNC and Walgreens but, again, international shipping may not be on the cards.
How Much Does Nugenix Thermo Cost?
At the time of this review, buying a 30-day supply of pills from the manufacturer’s site would cost you a tad under USD 60.
Most other suppliers were charging the same. The Amazon price undercuts them by USD 10.
So, if you want a good deal on Nugenix Thermo, Amazon is the best place to go.
Guarantee
Nugenix Thermo does not have a money-back guarantee.
Nugenix Thermo Review Summary
Green tea is a good fat burning ingredient. So is cayenne and it can help with hunger too.
Chlorogenic acid and chromium may offer protection from sudden desires to eat sweet food and coleus forskohlii offers theoretical benefit to your muscles.
In some ways, Nugenix Thermo is ticking the right boxes.
One of the problems here is the formulation relies a lot on caffeine. These days, an increasing number of dieters are wanting to go stimulant-free.
It’s also worth noting caffeine can do bad things to female hormones so a product like this should not be a lady’s first port of call.
There’s also a lack of customer feedback so there is no way to be certain how well Nugenix Thermo is likely to perform.
Or to see what kind of side effects using the product may entail.
Nugenix Thermo is not without promise. I’ve certainly seen worse formulations but this is still not one of the best.
