What is TruVision?
TruVision Health is a multi-level marketing company (MLM) that sells health and wellness products online and via its team of self-employed distributors.
TruVision claims its supplements can balance your body chemistry and be of benefit to “every system in the body.”
The company has three supplements in its present weight loss range.
The two most popular ones are TruFIX and TruCONTROL. For best results, the company says you need to use them both together.
Released on the market in mid 2021 is Truvy Boost a combination Truvy weight loss product containing Tru and Vy.
More recently, the company has added a third supplement called TruKETO. As the name suggests, it’s aimed at people doing the Keto Diet.
According to TruVision, TruFIX and TruCONTROL are both natural supplements, but the sales pitch is a little unusual.
The two TruVision weight management products apparently work by restoring your body chemistry’s “state of equilibrium.”
More tangible benefits are a faster metabolism, hunger suppression, and mood enhancement.
TruVision says the two supplements work together as a multipurpose low maintenance supplement.
The company also claims this special pairing of supplements can help you lose weight without the need for special diet requirements.
The TruVision Distribution Network
TruVision Health is based in Utah. As I already mentioned at the beginning of this review, it’s an MLM company.
MLM is a controversial way to do business. Such enterprises are often seen as pyramid selling and get-rich-quick schemes. There are other weight loss products that use the system such as IT Works, Plexus and Modere Trim.
This is not surprising. Most of the people who choose to become MLM product distributors do so because they have a burning desire to get rich. Some MLM distributors do achieve this but the majority of them fail.
Despite its many flaws, MLM is actually quite a clever concept. Companies that go this route can significantly reduce their marketing budget by allowing their distributors to do the marketing for them. Not just for the products, but for the MLM business opportunity as well.
MLM distributors are self-employed. They have the opportunity to earn money in two different ways.
How MLM Distributors Make Money
The first way they earn money is via commission payments for their sales. It’s not a lot. Most distributors end up having to spend all their commission on business expenses.
The second way MLM distributors can make money is by building a “downline.” In MLM speak, a downline is all the distributors you bring into the business. If they bring in distributors as well their recruits become part of your downline too.
A typical MLM downline goes down through four or five levels. That what puts the “multi-level” in MLM.
All MLM distributors receive commission payments on the sales made by their downline. The percentage they get from their top-level distributors is a little less than the commission they receive from their own sales.
The percentage decreases for downline distributors that are lower down the line. With each level it’s a little less but, for successful MLM distributors, all those payments can add up to a considerable sum.
In theory, MLM is a very fair game. Every distributor gets exactly the same chance. The problem is MLM products are generally overpriced. There can be quality and/or performance issues as well.
How TruVision Compares to Other MLM Opportunities
The TruVision compensation is better than most other MLM companies offer. Distributors get a decent commission for personal sales and downline commission that runs eight levels deep.
TruVision also offers extra incentives for distributors who are new to the business and to high-achievers.
What are the TruVision Products?
The company launched its supplement line in 2014. Its primary focus was weight loss. Since then, it’s expanded its range considerably.

Company Credibility
TruVision is a reputable company but it had some problems in the past including a run-in with the FDA.
Warning Letter from the FDA
In 2015, the FDA contacted the company about an issue with one of its products. Apparently, some of the ingredient information was being presented in a way that violated FDA regulations.
In 2017, the FDA began another investigation that led to it sending TruVision a warning letter.
The FDA inspectors discovered several violations. The first problem the inspectors found was a violation of the FDA’s Current Good Manufacturing Practice (CGMP) in Manufacturing, Packaging, Labeling, or Holding Operations for Dietary Supplements.
The FDA inspectors felt the violations caused the supplements to be adulterated. In a subsequent warning letter, the FDA also pointed out the products were being prepared, packed, or held under conditions that failed to meet Current Good Manufacturing Practice (CGMP).
A review of product labels seized by the FDA and a review of the company website brought to light further violations.
According to the FDA, several TruVision products including the products TruWeight & Energy and TruElevate were unapproved misbranded drugs. This was because the products were “intended for use in the cure, mitigation, treatment, or prevention of disease.”
The FDA said the products were not recognized as being safe and effective for the kind of uses TruVision intended.
The FDA found too many problems to detail here, but the warning letter is still available to read online.
The important thing to be aware of here is the problems were rectified. TruVision is not a disreputable company. It’s just a company that has made some mistakes in the past.
The 3 TruVision Weight Loss Products
Now we know a little more about the company and how it distributes its products, let’s take a look it’s three weight loss supplements.
1. TruFIX
Customers who want to use TruFIX have a couple of options to choose from. They can buy it as a capsule or get it as a powder.
As with similar supplements, you need to mix the powder with water and consume it as a drink. The powder version will likely be ideal for anyone who has difficulty swallowing pills. It’s good to see the company offers this option.
You take two TruFIX capsules per day. That’s one in the morning and a second during the afternoon. You only need to take the powder once per day.
So, what does TruFIX do?
The TruVision website states it will “tune-up” your blood chemistry.
“The better a person’s blood chemistry, the higher the likelihood they will have maximum longevity and live that extended lifespan in optimal health.”
The formulation also aims to regulate cholesterol and blood glucose levels. This will apparently help you retain good health and live longer. Nice! Who wouldn’t want to live longer?
TruFIX Ingredients
There are some big differences between the formulation in the powder and the one in the capsules.
You can see this if you take a look at the two labels below.
As you can see, both versions contain several minerals. The powder tends to contain a double helping of each one. This is likely because you only need to take it once per day.
However, the pills contain a proprietary blend and the powder does not.
Although there is no way to know the proportions involved, we can see it contains green coffee bean and raspberry ketone. Both these inclusions are diet pill regulars.
Green coffee bean can help regulate blood sugar levels. Raspberry ketone has a good reputation as an appetite suppressant. It may also help with fat burning.
Cinnamon and alpha-lipoic acid offer additional health benefits and may also help with weight loss. So why are they not in the powder? Without them, it’s just like a multi-vitamin and mineral supplement minus the vitamins.
2. TruCONTROL
TruCONTROL is also available as a capsule or a powder.
People using the product have to take two doses per day. Doing so is meant to spark the metabolism and restore natural energy. In so doing, TruCONTROL allegedly provides people with the “accelerated edge” they need to help them to conquer their health and weight loss goals.
The promised benefits look like this:
- Allows you to feel naturally energized
- Suppresses the appetite without causing feelings of starvation
- Boosts metabolism without causing jitters
- Optimizes body fat while maintaining a healthy lifestyle
TruCONTROL Ingredients
In this case, an examination of the labels reveals the two versions provide a similar blend of ingredients.
However, although the powder provides Vitamin C, the capsules do not.
Many of the ingredients in TruCONTROL are diet pill regulars and, like TruFIX, TruCONTROL provides an undisclosed quantity of green coffee bean.
The formulation also contains green tea. It’s a very popular natural fat burner and research shows that it works.
That makes it all the more unfortunate we have no way of knowing if the formulation contains enough.
Synephrine is a powerful stimulant. It boosts energy and helps you to burn fat.
The formulation also has evodiamine. That’s worrying. According to WebMD, the compound is possibly unsafe if you take it by mouth.
3. TruKETO
TruKeto is a shake you mix with water and take at breakfast and lunch. TruVision recommends using it alongside TruFIX.
The shake is high in fat, contains moderate protein, and has very little in the way of carbs. It’s intended to be incorporated into a keto diet.
TruVision says it can help you maintain ketosis. The truth is, if you are doing the Keto Diet and you’ve got your meal plans right, you probably won’t need any help.
The TruKeto PDF fact sheet is very misleading. Most of the information it presents concerns the benefits of the Keto Diet.
Additionally, it lists some ways to get
into ketosis. It seems likely many customers may think these are the things the
supplement can do.
TruKETO Ingredients
Although this supplement only comes as a powder, there are two flavors (Wild Berry and Salted Caramel) so TruVision provides a list of ingredients for each. Needless to say, they’re practically the same.
The formulation has a few minerals. There’s also some vitamin B6. Its presence will help the body extract energy from food. It’s put in energy drinks for just that reason.
The power ingredients are sitting in the two proprietary blends. The “moderate protein” the formulation provides appears to come from peas. Presumably, the fat comes from the MCT Oil powder.
TruKeto also has some green tea. Again, that’s always a good ingredient to see. Apart from helping with fat burning, green tea is also good for your health.
The formulation also has synephrine. That’s in TruFIX too. If you take the two together, as the company suggests, you’ll be getting a double dose.
I’m also seeing evodiamine in there. Bearing in mind the concerns about its use, I have to question the wisdom of putting it in TruKeto as well as in TruFIX.
TruKeto also contains caffeine. It’s and energy-provider and fat burner, but using it alongside a powerful stimulant like synephrine may be unwise.
TruVision Weight Loss Customer Reviews
The Better Business Bureau (BBB) has 41 TruVision Health customer reviews. The reported experiences range from very good to extremely bad.
Some people say it’s an amazing company whose products have changed their lives for the better. Others complain of poor customer support, products that don’t work, billing issues, and side effects.
TruVision Product Warnings
TruVision does not provide any product warnings on its website or product information sheets. This is very unusual. Most manufacturers provide this important information.
Some warnings are standard. They are really just a matter of common sense. For instance, if you are a pregnant or nursing mother, you shouldn’t be taking anything at all unless your doctor says it’s safe for you to do so.
If you are under 18, it’s wise to get a doctor’s approval as well. The same goes if you have existing health issues or are using medication.
TruVision Side Effects
Several customers who left complaints at the BBB website mention side effects.
Reported side effects include headaches, shaking, heartburn, vomiting, and severe stomach ache.
There are obviously issues with some of the formulations. With that in mind, I suggest not using any of this company’s products without first obtaining a doctor’s advice.
Does TruVision Weight Loss Work?
Most of the products contain viable ingredients that may help them to deliver the benefits they are meant to. Unfortunately, the quantities are often unknown.
Some customer reviews certainly suggest the products are life-changing and first-rate. However, TruVision is an MLM company. That can muddy the water.
Whenever MLM is involved distributors have a habit of posting lots of positive reviews. It’s in their (financial) interest to do so.
As for the three weight-loss products, it’s possible they may offer dieters some benefit but don’t believe the claims they can help you lose weight without diet or exercise. Life’s not like that.
Getting your diet right is always the first step in losing weight. It always has been and always will be. Don’t believe the hype.
TruVision Weight Loss Buying Options and Considerations
The chances are a lot of people will be unaware this brand exists unless a TruVision distributor approaches them. When this happens, the distributor will probably become their product supplier.
There’s also a good chance the distributor will also welcome them into their downline. Most distributors don’t only focus on selling products, they want to sell the business opportunity as well.
However, you can also buy TruVision products via the company website. That’s very unusual in MLM.
As for the price, TruVision products are surprisingly reasonable. That’s unusual in MLM as well. However, if you follow the guidelines and use two products at once, that’s going to push up the price.
TruVision After-Sales Service and Guarantee
If you buy TruVision via a distributor, they will probably be your first point of call if you need product support. If you buy directly from the site, you can contact the company via email or use the telephone number provided on the site.
The TruVision website also provides a handy Knowledge Base that contains answers to most of the questions customers may have.
It’s a good idea. The knowledge base has sections that cover the products, orders, My Account, and the TruVision business opportunity.
As for a money-back guarantee, you can forget it. There isn’t one. However, the returns policy allows you to claim a 90% refund on unopened products that are still in marketable condition.
If you want to make a return, you only have 30 days to do so. Customers have to meet the postage costs themselves, but that’s not unusual when making product returns.
