What is Psychotic Diablo – Insane Labs
Psychotic Diablo is an extreme fat burner made in California, USA, by Insane Labz.
Insane Labz is a reputable company that produces high-quality supplements but Psychotic Diablo is a stimulant-driven product that will be too powerful for the average dieter to endure.
The product may be more suitable for people who like to hit the gym and train hard but only ones who have built up their ability to tolerate stimulants through years of stimulant (ab)use.
However, although Psychotic Diablo is strong, it provides less stimulation than many similar products and some former users say they didn’t notice any benefits at all.
This is a common problem with fat burners that rely on caffeine and/or other stimulants. The results you do or do not get will be largely related to your existing or previous relationship with stimulants. As will the potential for side effects.
Psychotic Diablo Benefits
According to Insane Labz, Psychotic Diablo is the strongest fat burner their “Mad Chemist” has ever created and will burn your fat cells to a crisp, leaving only ashes in its wake.
The company also claims Psychotic Diablo can target visceral fat (https://www.eje-online.org/how-to-lower-cortisol-levels-for-weight-loss-lowering-the-stress-hormone-to-lose-weight/). That’s unlikely. Your body decides which areas of fat to burn. Nothing you get in a bottle can influence this.
How Psychotic Diablo Works
Fat burners increase energy expenditure. They achieve this by providing ingredients that increase metabolism and thermogenesis.
Metabolism governs the way your body utilizes the energy it gets from food or releases from its stores of fat. When metabolism gets faster you burn more calories per hour.
Thermogenesis is the process that generates heat within the body. When it increases, you lose extra energy as heat.
Exercise has a more dramatic effect on metabolism and thermogenesis but a good fat burner can help you to burn more fat than you could with diet and exercise alone.
Lots of ingredients can help you to burn fat in this way. Green tea and capsicum pepper are a couple of good options.
Stimulants can do it too. There’s no doubt about it, but the benefits diminish as your body builds up a greater tolerance to them.
Stimulants can also cause some people to experience a reduction in appetite. This is a useful ability because it makes it easier to feel satisfied with smaller portions of food. Again though, the benefits decrease as your body becomes used to the extra stimulation.
Ingredients like nopal and glucomannan, offer greater and more long-term value as a means of hunger control. They also don’t present the same risk of side effects that stimulants do.
Correct Dosage and Other Usage Considerations
The dose is one pill per day, taken with food. Bearing in mind the high caffeine content, this isn’t a supplement you should take too late in the day. It may overstimulate you and interfere with your ability to sleep.
Due to the high level of stimulants Psychotic Diablo provides, we suggest against using this product without first asking a doctor for advice.
Ingredient Profile
Each capsule provides 692 mg of a proprietary blend.
The Psychotic Diablo Blend contains unspecified quantities of the following seven ingredients:
- Caffeine Anhydrous
- AMPiberry
- Theobromine Anhydrous
- Dandelion Root Extract 4:1
- Grains of Paradise
- OxyGold
- Rauvolfia Vomitoria Extract
Caffeine Anhydrous
Caffeine anhydrous is a potent caffeine concentrate. The body absorbs it easily and it gets to work fast.
Although Insane Labz doesn’t reveal the caffeine anhydrous inclusion rate on the label, the marketing material states there is 300 mg of caffeine per pill.
That’s a lot of caffeine to hit your system at once. It’s similar to what you’d get by knocking back four shots of espresso on the trot.
Caffeine is a central nervous system stimulant. It boosts energy and improves mental focus. Research shows caffeine also assists weight loss by increasing metabolism and thermogenesis. (https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/2912010/)
AMPiberry
AMPiberry is a juniper extract that enhances the potency and uptake of caffeine. Using AMPiberry makes it possible to get good results from small doses of caffeine. By doing this it takes a lot of strain off the adrenal glands.
That’s not going to happen here though. Psychotic Diablo provides a whopping 300 mg of caffeine. That’s a lot. Pairing it with AMPIberry is insane because the 300 mg of caffeine will hit the body harder than normal.
AMPiberry also appears to possess diuretic capabilities. That’s handy for bodybuilders because it will remove some of the water from the tissues covering the muscles. This will make the flesh less puffy and improve muscle definition.
However, diuretics in diet pills can make you lighter because you are carrying around less water. It’s easy to mistake this water loss for fat loss.
Theobromine Anhydrous
Theobromine is an alkaloid from cocoa. It’s a stimulant that chemically similar to caffeine but the stimulation it provides is likely to last longer and there is less risk of side effects.
However, let’s not forget Insane Labz isn’t using theobromine instead of caffeine. It’s using it alongside it to provide additional stimulation. The wisdom of doing so is questionable.
Dandelion Root Extract 4:1
Dandelion root is a diuretic that could help you to see some of your (water) weight peeing down the drain. (https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/19678785/)
Insane Labz is using a 4:1 extract. That means it has four times the potency of normal dandelion extracts. It’s a concentrate.
However, this information means nothing because all it tells us is it’s a potent ingredient. We still don’t know how much is there.
Grains of Paradise
Grains of paradise (Aframomum melegueta) is a seed extract. Its abilities require further study but we do know it’s a stimulant. Grains of Paradise is generally believed to be safe for most adults but is known to present a risk of irritation in the stomach, intestines, and urinary tract.
OxyGold
OxyGold is a branded form of fulvic acid. It boosts nutrient intake and may also boost stimulant uptake. So, like AMPiberry, you could use it to maximize the benefits provided by small doses of stimulants.
Obviously, that’s not what it’s going to do here. Instead, it’s going to add extra weight to an already overly heavy hammer.
Rauvolfia Vomitoria Extract
Rauvolfia Vomitoria is a plant that grows in several countries including Tanzania and Puerto Rico. It’s also known as the Poison Devil’s Pepper. That seems quite an appropriate name for an ingredient in a supplement called Psychotic Diablo.
The active compound in Rauvolfia Vomitoria is Rauwolscine. It’s a stimulant that’s sometimes used in diet pills, sports supplements, and treatments that aim to improve sexual arousal.
Rauwolscine’s value as a supplement ingredient requires further study. As do the potential side effects. (https://www.webmd.com/vitamins/ai/ingredientmono-1641/rauwolscine)
Psychotic Diablo Customer Reviews
Customer reviews are mixed. Some people praise Psychotic Diablo for its energy-boosting capabilities, others say they felt no benefit at all.
Most of the positive reviews are energy-related, but a few of them also mention appetite suppression and weight loss.
An example of a positive review:
I’ve been training for years, and I never felt my body change as much as it has since using Psychotic Diablo. They helped me get a better shape with more ripped abs and a shredded middle. I used to be overweight but now that I work out regularly, my body is getting into the best shape of its life! The hard work is worth it.
A negative review:
I’m not sure what I did wrong. I followed the directions exactly, but this stuff didn’t work,” said Jim as he glared down at his junker of a car. He was an angry man who had been stuck in traffic for over four hours; after that, he hadn’t eaten anything because it just wasn’t worth stopping for fast food and then he decided to use Psychotic Diablo to lose weight so when he got home, there would be something waiting for him. “Maybe I should have stopped eating carbs before taking these pills.
Known Side Effects
Customers reviews mention the type of side effects that are normally associated with caffeine-rich products:
- Stomach upsets
- Headaches
- Nausea
- Anxiety
Needless to say, there are also reports of caffeine crash.
If you are not familiar with the condition, a caffeine crash generally occurs a few hours after consuming caffeine. When the crash hits, it causes extreme tiredness and/or irritability, and poor concentration.
Caffeine crash may also feel similar to a hangover.
Where to Buy Psychotic Diablo
You can buy Psychotic Diablo via Amazon and any number of online supplement stores. Finding a supplier will not be hard at all.
However, if you prefer dealing with manufacturers directly, it will be best to purchase via the Insane Labz website.
At the time of this review, Insane Labz was charging $59.95 per bottle. That’s not bad at all because each bottle provides a 60-day supply of pills.
However, if you find Psychotic Diablo is too strong you can forget any thoughts of a refund because Psychotic Diablo doesn’t offer a money-back guarantee.
Psychotic Diablo Review Conclusion
There are plenty of fat burners that aim to boost metabolism and thermogenesis by pumping the body full of stimulants. The tactic is neither new nor revolutionary. It’s not a great idea either.
The average person may find Psychotic Diablo is too strong for them and have to stop using it because of unpleasant side effects. Bearing in mind the potency, it would have been good if Insane Labz had split the dose between two pills instead of cramming all those stimulants into one.
If they’d made the pills smaller it would have made it possible for new users to begin with half the dose and monitor the side effects. As it is, all anyone can do is swallow and hope for the best.
There is nothing wrong with adding a little caffeine or an alternative option to a fat burner. Its presence can help prevent diet-related fatigue.
What Insane Labz has done here is bordering on the ridiculous though. They’ve put in a high dose of caffeine, added additional stimulants, and then thrown in a couple of ingredients that can enhance the effects.
This formulation could be greatly improved if some of the stimulants were removed in favor of some capsicum extract or green tea. Both options boost metabolism and thermogenesis and neither one is likely to cause side effects.
Psychotic Diablo probably has the most potential as an energy-providing supplement. Time your dose right and it may help you to train harder. However, even then, it may fail to deliver the goods if you are already used to pumping yourself full of stimulants every time you train.
Psychotic Diablo‒we like the name. As for the product, not so much. If you want a good fat burner, there several saner options available.
