This Elevate Smart Coffee review should give you a better understand what it can do for your health. We are particularly interested in its weight loss claims.
Elevate Smart Coffee Review Summary: It’s difficult to know where to start with multi functional products such as this one.
Is it a nootropic? An energy provider? Or maybe a weight loss product.
First and foremost it should be reviewed and rated on its taste – as it is a drink by definition. The jury is mixed to say the least.
As a fat burner it also has mixed results. And with regards to nootropics – whether you believe that they are really a thing is up to you!

What is Elevate Smart Coffee?
Elevate Smart Coffee is a health and wellness beverage aimed at coffee drinkers who wish to lose weight and/or obtain nootropic benefits.
If you are not familiar with the term “nootropic” it refers to products and compounds that aim to provide improvements in cognitive function.
Nootropics typically aim to lift brain fog, improve mental focus, enhance memory, and/or provide other benefits of a similar nature.
It’s worth knowing standard coffee has nootropic abilities because the caffeine it provides increases mental focus and improves concentration.
great tasting micro-ground, functional coffee
The manufacturer’s website describes Elevate Smart Coffee as a “great tasting micro-ground, functional coffee” that provides a proprietary blend of nootropic ingredients.
The site also states nootropics are “all-natural amino acids, choline, and fat burners typically found in protein-rich foods but not always easy to get from diet alone.”
Can it Burn Fat?
Fat burners? That’s nonsense.
Although some ingredients, such as caffeine, offer a combination of nootropic and fat-burning benefits, most nootropics do not have this capability.
The claim that nootropics are amino acids is similarly wrong. Some amino acids have nootropic abilities, others do not.
In reality, many nootropic ingredients come from plants. Again, caffeine is a good example.
The official website is actually shockingly short of information about the coffee, but it does supply a snapshot of the supplement facts, taken from the label.
It’s worth being aware the manufacturer has changed the formulation more than once. The present version (August 2020) is version #3.
It provides 10 calories per cup. The previous version had double the calories and a very different formulation of ingredients. Many regular customers state they preferred the previous version.
Who Makes Elevate Smart Coffee?
Elevate Smart Coffee is one of several health and beauty products distributed under the Elevacity brand name.
Elevacity is based in Plano, Texas. It operates as a multi-level marketing business (MLM). However, unlike the majority of MLM operations, it advertises its “business opportunity” via a separate site.
Although the companies profile page at the Better Business Bureau (BBB) shows a considerable number of complaints, most of them have been resolved and Elevacity still retains a “B-” rating.
That’s not as good as an “A+” rating but it considerably better than an “F” (the lowest BBB rating).
Elevate Smart Coffee Benefits
According to the front of the pot, Elevate Smart Coffee is a “weight-managing, mood-enhancing, nootropic infused, happy coffee.”
Correct Dosage and Other Usage Considerations
Elevacity provides the following instructions for making the coffee:
Add to your existing coffee, mix into any drink, or use with hot or cold water. Mix 1 serving in 4-8 ounces of beverage. Stir well and enjoy!
However, Elevate Smart Coffee is a source of caffeine.
So is a cup of standard coffee. Combining two sources of caffeine in this way may not be wise and will certainly increase the likelihood of side effects.
The Elevacity website does not state the caffeine content but the Amazon listing states a cup of Elevate Smart Coffee provides 130 mg.
It’s not clear which version the Amazon listing refers to (old or new) but 130 mg is almost as much caffeine as you would get by drinking a Starbucks double espresso (150 mg caffeine).
A shot of caffeine like that may be too much for some people to tolerate. Be aware of that, before you consider mixing Elevate Smart Coffee with normal coffee.
The Elevacity website Also fails to provide any guidance about other possible issues regarding the use of the coffee.
However, the Amazon listing states women who are pregnant or nursing a child will need to consult a doctor and get approval before using Elevate Smart Coffee.
The Amazon listing offers the same guidance to people who have existing medical conditions or would need to use the coffee alongside medication.
It extends this advice to athletes and urine or blood-tested professionals as well.
Elevate Smart Coffee Ingredient Profile
One scoop (4.4g) of Elevate Smart Coffee provides 8 mg of Niacin (Vitamin B3) and 2.6 g of a proprietary blend.
The proprietary blend contains:
- Premium Coffee Blend
- Sunflower Lecithin
- PEA (Beta Phenylethylamine HCI)
- Organic Cocoa
- L-Theanine
- Caffeine
- Kucha Tea Leaf Extract
- A-GPC (Alpha-Glycerylphosphoryl Choline)
- Griffonia Simplicifolia Extract
- Bacopa Monnieri Extract
- Green Coffee Bean Extract
- Green Tea Extract
- Cocoabuterol (Cocoa Extract)
- Chromium Polynicotinate
It also contains a few additional ingredients:
- Xylitol
- Natural Flavors
- Organic Rice Concentrate
A Close Look at the Formula
The lack of ingredient inclusion rates is a problem. When you don’t know how much you’ve got, it’s not possible to make a comparison to study results, etc.
However, the supplement facts suggest a large percentage of the formulation is organic rice concentrate.
Do the math and you will see the proprietary blend (2.6 g) and niacin (8 mg) only account for 3.4 g of each serving (4.4 mg).
Xylitol is a low-calorie sweetener. It’s unlikely it accounts for much of the additional gram of powder.
The only other ingredients are unspecified natural flavors, so much of the extra gram must be rice concentrate. That’s probably where most of the calories come from too.
Proprietary Blend
The 2.6 g of proprietary blend contains 14 ingredients. It’s highly unlikely any of them are included in effective doses.
Unless it’s decaffeinated, the Premium Coffee Blend is likely to be a source of caffeine. Cocoa contains caffeine as well and the blend contains two forms.
Green Tea and Green Coffee
Green tea and green coffee bean extract are sources of caffeine too. Caffeine is also shown as an extra ingredient, so we can be sure caffeine is probably a key player in the formulation.
As you will be aware, caffeine is a stimulant that provides energy. It also increases mental focus.
Research shows caffeine is a fat burner too but high doses can cause headaches, jitters, and other side effects.
Theobromine
As well as being a source of caffeine, cocoa contains theobromine, which is known to improve the mood.
Theobromine is believed to be responsible for the feel-good effect that makes some people crave chocolate during times of stress.
However, overly-high doses of theobromine may be counterproductive.
Green coffee bean and chromium can help regulate blood sugar and insulin.
This makes them good for preventing blood sugar crashes and cravings for sugary food.
Green tea is a good inclusion (if there is enough) because it’s a proven fat burner. However, without inclusion rates, there is no way to say what the proprietary blend can do.
Niacin
Niacin is a good ingredient and the dose provided is okay.
Lack ofNiacin has nootropic capabilities that give it value as a treatment for certain mental conditions including some forms of schizophrenia.
Niacin also helps the body extract energy from food. It lowers cholesterol and provides several additional benefits.[source]
Elevate Smart Coffee Customer Reviews
The Elevacity website has four reviews. Needless to say, they all praise the abilities of the coffee. It would be unwise to rely on reviews made available via such a biased source.
Amazon has plenty of Elevate Smart Coffee customer reviews though.
This is a more reliable source of feedback and most of the reviews are good.
Many of the 5-star reviews say the coffee reduces appetite and/or aids weight-loss. Plenty of reviews also mention increases in energy and some customers also report improvements in mood.
At the other end of the scale, 1-star reviews often state the coffee tastes terrible.
Even some of the 5-star reviews mention this and provide suggestions for improving the flavor by adding honey, etc.
Some of the 1-star reviews simply state the coffee does not provide any benefits at all, while others complain it’s expensive.
There are also a disturbing number of customer reviews that mention side effects.

Known Side Effects
A lot of customers mention side effects. One customer compares the side effects he experienced with those of the drug Adderall.
Other reported side effects include:
- Headaches
- Frequent and “painfully restrictive” bathroom visits
- Moods swings
- Restless legs
- Jitters
One former user states she experienced withdrawal symptoms when she stopped using the product.
Where to Buy Elevate Smart Coffee
The best option is to buy Elevate Smart Coffee directly from the manufacturer’s website.
It’s also possible to purchase it via Amazon but the product is often marked unavailable.
At the time of this review, a tub of Elevate Smart Coffee cost $55.
Elevacity also offers a Smartship option for people who want to get a fresh supply of coffee every month and have the price automatically taken from their credit or debit cards.
The Smartship price is 10 percent cheaper.
If you only have one cup of Elevate Smart Coffee per day, each tub should last for 30 days.
When you are paying the full-price per tub, each cup of coffee costs about $1.83.
That’s more than it normally costs to make a cup of coffee at home but it’s less than you would pay to drink a cup of coffee in Starbucks.
If you look at it like that, the cost of using Elevate Smart Coffee is not bad.
Elevate Smart Coffee Review Conclusion
Customer reviews suggest nobody is going to buy Elevate Smart Coffee for the flavor. The consensus of opinion is it tastes bad.
The beverage will undoubtedly boost energy levels and mental focus because it should contain more than enough caffeine to do this.
The caffeine content should also speed metabolism. Presuming correct diet, this will help with fat-loss.
Depending on the inclusion rates, the additional ingredients may help provide additional weight-loss and nootropic benefits. However, the reports of side effects are worrying.
As a refreshing drink, the flavor makes this Elevate Smart Coffee a failure in our view. As a fat burner and nootropic, the caffeine gives it credibility.
However, if you want to lose weight faster or boost your mental function, there are better ways to do it.
