What is Night Shred?

Night Shred is a supplement for people who want to enjoy better sleep while also priming their body to burn extra fat.
It’s made in the USA by The Clean Supps LLC and distributed under the InnoSupps brand name.
Although the company offers quite an extensive supplement range, it’s still a newcomer that has only been active since mid 2020.
It’s got off to a good start though. There’s quite a buzz about InnoSupps products and Night Shred appears to be set to take the world by storm.
Lots of people have difficulty sleeping.
Even more are struggling to lose weight and research shows poor-quality sleep is one of the things that can make it harder to lose weight.
That’s one of the reasons night-time fat burners are becoming increasingly common these days.
Other examples of night time fat burners are Lean PM and Nobi Nutrition

How Does Night Shred Work?
Night Shred contains a formulation of natural weight loss ingredients that have been chosen for their abilities to relax the body, calm the mind, and make sleep come easier.
The InnoSupps website states the formulation achieves this by enhancing digestion, reducing stress, and having a beneficial influence on the mind and mood.
The site also promises a reduction in night-time hunger cravings by including appetite suppressants.
InnoSupps products are primarily aimed at people following sporting pursuits, so the Night Shred sales page also points out the formulation contains ingredients that may enhance muscle recovery and support protein synthesis.
Night Shred also contains a couple of natural fat burners.
What’s the Best Way to Use Night Shred?
You take two capsules 30 minutes before going to bed. This is meant to help you to relax and quickly drift off into REM Sleep.
You can take the capsules with or without food.
No further usage guidelines are supplied but the label on the back of the bottle offers a standard warning about not using the product without a doctor’s approval if you are under 18-years of age or a female who is pregnant or nursing a child.
The label also extends the same warning to people who have existing health issues or would need to use Night Shred alongside medication.
What’s in Night Shred?
The Night Shred formulation consists of a blend of 10 natural ingredients, many of which are included in unknown quantities and housed in proprietary blends.
Each 2-capsule dose provides:
Magnesium Oxide (200 mg)
Night Time Recovery Complex (510 mg)
- GABA (gamma-aminobutyric acid)
- Chamomile Flower Powder
- Passion Flower Powder
- Valerian Root Powder
PM Fat Burning Complex (51 mg)
- goFAT CLA (Conjugated Linoleic Acid)
- L-Carnitine Tartrate
- 5-HTP (5-Hydroxytryptopan) (35 mg)
- Melatonin (3 mg)
- L-Tryptophan (0.5 mg)
What Do the Ingredients Do?
Magnesium Oxide (200 mg)
Magnesium oxide provides the mineral magnesium but does not do so as efficiently as magnesium citrate.
However, the oxide form contains more magnesium per mg than the citrate form does. It could be argued this is a fact that evens things out.
Magnesium is involved in more than 600 reactions in the body.
Among other things, it aids muscle contraction and relaxation, helps the body get energy from food, and aids neurotransmitter regulation. It also helps fight depression. [1]
5-HTP (35 mg)
5-HTP (5-Hydroxytryptopan) is often put in supplements that aim to increase serotonin production. There is a lack of evidence to support using it in this way.
However, the ingredient has theoretical value because one of the things serotonin does is help you to sleep.
Melatonin (3 mg)
Melatonin is a hormone manufactured by the pineal gland. When levels rise it helps you to sleep.
The Night Shred sales page state the ingredient is “proven to help prepare you and your body for sleep.” That’s an exaggeration.
The value of taking melatonin supplements remains unclear because of conflicting study results.
L-Tryptophan (0.5 mg)
L-Tryptophan is an amino acid. The body uses it to build proteins and other molecules, some of which are necessary for sleep.
Research suggests L-Tryptophan supplements may boost melatonin and serotonin levels sufficiently to improve sleep quality.
Unfortunately, this appears to require doses of 1-5 grams per day. Night Shred provides 0.5 mg per day.
This is where we start entering “unknown” ground. We know the following ingredients are present but are not told the quantities involved.
GABA (Night Time Recovery Complex)
GABA (Gamma-Aminobutyric acid) is an amino acid the brain produces.
It’s a neurotransmitter that helps the brain cells to communicate.
GABA also reduces neuron activity in a manner that promotes relaxation, calms the mind, and makes it easier to sleep. It may positively influence the mood as well.
When GABA is low you may find it hard to sleep.
Certain foods provide GABA. Green tea, kefir, and yogurt are just a few examples. Lentils, walnuts, spinach, and cocoa are a few more.
As well as having an ability to help with sleep, GABA aids the production of human growth hormone (HGH).
HGH is an important hormone that boosts immune function and healing. Among other things, it can also increase exercise ability, improve muscle mass, and help the body to burn fat. It may offer anti-aging effects as well.
Chamomile (Night Time Recovery Complex)
Chamomile tea is a popular pre-sleep beverage. The compounds chamomile flowers provide have reputation for relaxing the body and quietening the mind.
Although conflicting research results cast a shadow of doubt on chamomile’s abilities, some research suggests it provides an antioxidant called apigenin that helps initiate sleep. This is a featured ingredient of Night Shred.
Passion Flower (Night Time Recovery Complex)
Some study results suggest passion flower may reduce anxiety and help with insomnia but the National Center for Complementary and Integrative Health (NCCIH) states a need for further research.
Valerian Root (Night Time Recovery Complex)
Valerian is a herb with a long-standing reputation as a sleep aid. It’s a good match for a formulation such as this.
Research suggests Valerian’s ability to induce sleep may be due to an ability to inhibit the breakdown of GABA in the brain.
Again though, Night Shred probably does not provide enough. A dose of 400-900 mg appears to be effective. The entire Night Time Recovery Complex is only 510 mg and it contains three other ingredients as well.
goFAT CLA (PM Fat Burning Complex)
A branded form of CLA (conjugated linoleic acid) that comes as a powder. It’s hard to say if the goFAT brand offers any advantage over standard forms of CLA but it’s certainly a good inclusion. In theory, anyway.
Some research suggests CLA may help the body to burn extra fat while also protecting existing muscle mass. However, there are also study results that suggest the opposite.
It’s also worth noting, most studies involved does of 3.2-6.4 grams of CLA per day, and suggest at least 3 grams per day is necessary to support weight loss.
The PM Fat Burning Complex only provides 51 mg of CLA and it’s diluted with L-Carnitine Tartrate.
L-Carnitine Tartrate (PM Fat Burning Complex)
This ingredient provides L-Carnitine. It’s an amino acid derivative.
L-Carnitine is sometimes used for weight loss but appears to work best for people who are extremely overweight or obese.
It may also be beneficial for the brain but may offer more value for aiding muscle recovery after exercise. Unfortunately, the PM Fat Burning Complex cannot possibly provide enough L-Carnitine to offer support in any of the aforementioned areas.
Are There Any Customer Night Shred Reviews?
The InnoSupps website has plenty of customer reviews. Collectively, they paint a picture of a very impressive product but it’s generally best not to rely on feedback made available via manufacturer’s websites.
There is always a possibility it may be biased.
Night Shred customer reviews posted elsewhere on the web are also predominantly good but there are a few people who say the product is not for them.
A few customer reviews read:

Is There a Risk of Side Effects from Night Shred?
The Night Shred sales page fails to state if any side effects have been reported of are likely to be an issue.
However, some customers say the pills caused them to wake up more during the night.
One customer says the sleep disruption was because the pills caused digestive issues. Another customer mentions “horrible nightmares.”
Fortunately, reports of side effects are few and far between. Most people appear to be able to use Night Shred without experiencing any negative issues.
However, Night Shred contains melatonin, which has several known side effects including drowsiness, headache, and nausea.
Supplements that contain melatonin may also interact with certain medications including diabetes medications and birth control pills.[2]
All things considered, it’s probably best to seek medical advice before using Night Shred or any other supplement that contains melatonin.
Night Shred Purchasing Options and Considerations
If you want to buy Night Shred, it’s best to do so via the InnoSupps website.
Although Night Shred used to be available via Amazon.com, that was no longer the case at the time of this review.
The product was marked unavailable and Amazon was unsure if it would return.
Each bottle contains 60 capsules. That’s enough to last for 30 nights if you use the product in the correct way.
The RRP is $57.99 per bottle but the company generally offers a reduction of $10 or so.
There is also a subscribe and save option that allows customers to snag a 20% discount by committing to receive future delivers of pill via auto-ship.
It is not possible to cancel this commitment until the minimum of two deliveries has been met.
However, customers in California do not have to meet this commitment. The wording of the InnoSupps Subscription Policy suggests they will be able to cancel their commitment straight away if they wish to do so.
That’s means, if you live in California, you should be able to grab a quick 20% discount with no strings attached.
Guarantee
The InnoSupps website states results and satisfaction are “100% guaranteed”, but this is not strictly true.
The site’s Returns Policy page states it’s only possible to receive a refund (less shipping costs) for products that are returned unopened and unused within 30 days.
Customers who return opened products may be able to get a 50% refund on returns that are made within 30 days but only if they have used less than 20% of the product.
Furthermore, the site also makes it clear the returns policy is “only valid to US customers.”
Hit or Miss? (Can You Lose Weight with Night Shred?)
Despite the fact that many of the inclusion rates are likely to be undesirably low, Night Shred appears to function well as a sleep aid for the majority of users.
This is possibly because the overall combination of ingredients support each other well and offer an effective synergy.
The majority of customer reviews appear to be based on the supplement’s ability to help with sleep.
Although some customers make comments that suggest they believe it will help them to burn fat, or hope that it will, reports of actual fat-loss are in the minority.
This is not surprising. Although getting more sleep can help you wake up feeling refreshed and less likely to comfort eat, Night Shred does not contain any of the top natural fat burning ingredients.
CLA and L-Carnitine Tartrate are the only two ingredients in the fat-burning blend and the inclusion rates cannot possibly be sufficient to deliver the goods.
Although the idea of burning fat while you sleep is appealing, Night Shred appears to perform poorly as a weight-loss aid.
If you buy it for that reason you may be disappointed and, unless you live in California, even a partial refund won’t be on the cards.
Night Shred appears to offer the most value for people who need help to sleep. If that’s what your requirements are, this product could have a lot to offer and the cost per bottle is not at all bad.
