We develop and implement novel algorithms for the study of
protein and
RNA structure and folding kinetics. Since
RNA is now understood to play
catalytic and regulatory roles, we are working on
non-coding RNA gene finders, hybridization,
gene expression chip analysis, kinetics of
RNA folding, aspects of de novo
RNA design, etc. Computational methods we use include
machine learning, thermodynamics-based partition function computations, time warping, etc.
