Summary
Current projects involve studies of glutathione metabolism in macrophages and effects of gentic alterations in GSH levels on atherosclerosis in mice. Additional studies involve studies of the effects of chlamydia pneumoniae infection on atherosclerosis in mice and the role of toll-like receptors. We are also studying the effects of exposure to airborne particulates on systemic oxidative stress, atherosclerosis, and vascular compliance.
