I work mainly with polymer-based-materials (PBMs); these include engineering
thermoplastics,
epoxy, dental
resins,
flocculation and drag-reducing agents. My focus is split between modification of
polymers to obtain improved properties and
mathematical modeling of observed phenomena. In my lab we have equipment to process PBMs (by blending,
injection molding,
compression molding, etc.) and analyze a variety of properties (mechanical,
thermal,
tribological).
