Dynamics of water in confined environments

Summary
We study the dynamics of bulk water and water near interfaces with short pulsed infrared lasers. We do pump-probe anisotropy experiments to measure orientational dynamics and heterodyne detected vibrational echo experiments to measure the frequency fluctuations of the stretching mode of partially deuterated water.
